SHERI RATOOSH, M.D., PH.D.

Sheri Ratoosh, M.D.,Ph.D. was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. She graduated from Wellesley College as a Wellesley College Scholar -With Distinction, completing an Honors thesis in Biological Sciences. Dr. Ratoosh earned her M.D. in 1990 from Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center. Dr. Ratoosh also earned her Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the same institution. She continued on at Baylor for her Internship at the Baylor Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Ratoosh completed her residency in Dermatology at the University of Texas, Houston, where she served as Chief Resident in Dermatology during her final year including care of patients at M.D. Anderson, Lyndon Baines Johnson, and Hermann Hospitals. She is certified and recertified by the American Board of Dermatology. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Texas Dermatological Society, the Houston Dermatological Society, the Women's Dermatological Society, and the Harris County Medical Society. Dr. Ratoosh has been practicing Dermatology in Houston since 1994, and joined Southeast Dermatology in 2003. Dr. Ratoosh is the author of numerous medical journal publications and has appeared on many broadcast media health affairs presentations. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Texas Medical School. Dr. Ratoosh is the mother of three sons (one Eagle Scout, one Life Scout, and one First Class Scout). She is a supporter of the Susan B. Komen Foundation. She was selected to US News and World report Top Doctors 2011-2012.
